Wine tasting at Ralph Lauren Shanghai privatized for the evening for The Wine Cellar Club Fine Chinese Wine collectors. The fine bubbles of the amazing Champagne Baron d’Avella Opus III special limited edition kicked off the evening followed by wonderful Château Rauzan-Gassies, 2nd Grand Cru Classé Margaux; Château de Lamarque, Haut-Medoc; Château Laroque, Grand Cru Classé Saint-Emilion and Burgundy magnificent white: Chassagne-Montrachet from Domaine Moillard.

Great evening at the French consulate with Edouard Philippe our Prime Minister 🇫🇷 who came to meet with the Shanghai French community. ‘French abroad have a key role to play in the promotion and the reputation of our country. Il y a 8 ans, Elisabeth décida de s’installer en Chine et après une expérience professionnelle pour une plateforme e-commerce dans le vin, elle fera le point sur ses avantages, ses connaissances, les forces de son réseau mais aussi ses ambitions afin de lancer The Wine Cellar Club en 2013 pour aider des particuliers à se créer la cave à vins de leurs rêves.

On October, 14th Elisabeth Gromand, Founder & CEO of The Wine Cellar Club, was hosting her annual fine wine collectors’ tasting at the French General-Consul's Residence in Shanghai. In the setting of their magnificent Art Deco mansion, she presented her 100 wine lovers’ with 10 gems from Bordeaux and Champagne.
Selected for their outstanding qualities, she offered fine wines from the most prestigious Bordeaux appellations: Château Haut-Bailly & Smith Haut-Lafitte red and white, Grand Cru Classé (Pessac-Leognan), Châteaux Giscours & Château du Tertre (3ème and 5ème Grand Cru Classé, Margaux), La Mondotte (1er Grand Cru Classé, Saint-Emilion), Château Branaire-Ducru (4ème Grand Cru Classé, Saint-Julien) and her family owned vineyard Château de Lamarque, Haut-Médoc and Member of Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux. Last but not least, she also served the wonderful Champagne d’Avella Opus III Les Riceys (100% Pinot Noir) from the confidential & exclusive d'Avella-Garnier Maison de Champagne.

May-June 2014 - Elisabeth Gromand, CEO The Wine Cellar Club Ltd. attended Vinexpo HK 2014 and the most exclusive tasting events including Tatler magazine & James Suckling "Bordeaux Confidential" diner and tasting events at Mandarin Oriental Hotel on May 23rd & 24th and Union des Grands Crus Tasting on May, 27th.
Not only was this the occasion to tastes very exclusive wines, but also to meet and discuss with owners of the few wineries which make the fine wine market. Being part of these events and most of them being private small diners enable us to strengthen our relationships with Bordeaux merchants and chateau owners and stay put with the latest information and trends.
